Educational simulators -- Interactive 3D Animations of Oil and Gas Surface Equipment
Simulators of well location surface equipment like a separator, compression unit, dehydrator, tank, pumping unit, meter run, etc. were produced to train lease operators in the oil and gas industry. The interactive 3D animations faithfully simulate the working of existing pieces of equipment used in the petrochemical industry. Using VCR-style controls, they are playable in the manner of linear video. At the same time, they are fully interactive too. They feature realistically animated liquid flows, gases, heating flames, vents, fires, explosions and more.
The state-of-the-art technological ‘magic’ of so-called “real-time rendering” enables students to examine and explore working equipment and their internal processes from any cut-view angle and during all its phases of operation. And because our simulators are online, students can use them to learn wherever they physically are on the planet. Think of it as distance learning on steroids.
Narrated lessons as well as highly detailed text descriptions of the processes are built-in.
3D real-time education & training simulators are a great application for the technical training of the operation of highly complex industrial equipment. Simulators allow students to see and interactively understand the inner workings of equipment. Not just from all sides but also in fully interactive 3D animated cut views.
Equipment can be manipulated in real time, very much like in real life. In complex processes, certain pieces of equipment can be switched off… with immediately visualization of how this affects the flows of liquids and gasses.
The workings of each piece of equipment can be reviewed separately. We created multiple lessons with narrations to this effect. Using realistic 3D simulators, we can review highly hazardous situations from the safety of the classroom and train safety drills over and over until they become second nature.
The instructor can pause each lesson at any moment, rotate the simulated equipment to show it from all sides, zoom in and out at will... and proceed with the lesson. Our simulators convert boring assembly and disassembly lessons into an interesting, engaging interactive game.
